This is the second choice for my opinion to the Best speakers for echo dot.
Bass – very good , especially with electronic music , (Chemical brothers, Tiesto, Vitalic) .
Midlevel – very good , but to comparing it with the bose you’ll feel the difference , the sound is a bit raw and not sharp like the bose, but the power of the midlevel is higher than the bose.
Battery life :
Logitech claims, the device can lasts up to 20 hours, when I tried it it was round about the 16 hours, at normal volume (45%) you can also see through the app, the percentage of battery left (or press the volume buttons together on the device will tell.
Also the app gives you a nice features such as alarm, equalizer, connect by nfc etc…
The megaboom technical specs :
Buttons and sockets:
3.5 mm head jack
Micro usb socket (under the rubber seal)
It has also ipx7 resistance to water (up to 1 meter) and dust resistance.
Pay attention to the deep socket of the micro usb to use with the original cable, that is narrow enough to get in.
Also I test it through calls and there wasn’t any problem, but in some calls, the other side didn’t heard me well, asked me to raise my voice even though I was very near to the device, but I guess you wont buy it for a phone speaker
The Bluetooth connection was very strong, I measured 30 meters from the speaker (without any walls or other blockings)
The price in amazon starts at 182.49$
You can buy it here.
So do you think this is the best speaker for the echo dot?
